Welcome to the autumn term at Jubilee Playgroup. For those returning, it’ll be lovely to see you all again and for those new to us, we look forward to welcoming you, we hope your time spent here will be enjoyable and that your children settle in quickly.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to discuss them with a member of staff in playgroup or alternatively, you can contact me on 07521820232 between 9am and 4pm week days, feel free to send a message out of hours and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
It would be great to have all new parents join our ‘closed group’ Facebook page. We regularly post playgroup photos from which you are welcome to take copies of your own children, it gives parents an insight into what activities take place, we also post useful information from time to time. This group is only open to parents, grandparents and staff so please request to join and we’ll add you as soon as we can.
Each child in playgroup is assigned a key worker adult, who is responsible for maintaining their progress file. The files contain assessments, photos and art work and these will be handed over to you when your child finally leaves playgroup. We put the files out for viewing once a year, usually after the Easter break but you are welcome to view them and/or discuss your child’s progress at any time with a member of staff.
Your child’s key worker will be displayed on playgroup’s noticeboard near to the front door, along with other playgroup information, so keep an eye out for anything new.
Dates For Your Diary
- Autumn Term starts on Tuesday 5th September 2017
- PHOTOGRAPHER Andrew Jacobs will be visiting playgroup on Friday 29th September. Any children not normally in playgroup on a Friday are welcome to come along with their parents/carers at 9:30am and we will aim to have these children photographed as soon as possible. Siblings are also welcome. Any additional children in on the day will remain the responsibility of the adult who accompanies them to playgroup.
- Half Term Monday 30th October – Friday 3rd November 2017
- Autumn Term finishes on December 22nd 2017. N.B. Please keep an eye out for any changes to this date, local schools may tag on inset days to the end of the autumn term and we usually follow suit.
Finally, our weekly themes this half term will have an emphasis on the rhymes we love to sing in playgroup, we also hope to be teaching the children a little sign language to accompany some of them. Below are a few examples of the activities we will be doing.
